Glowing Bar City Street Night Lights

Glowing Bar City Street Night Lights

This picture with the glowing lights of the bar street lamps were photographed in the city at night in Puerto Cruz de Tenerife.

Small LED town lighting created a perfect atmosphere to go out and photograph that evening street lights. The warm glow of the city night lights welcomed the soul to rest for a while, so that it was possible to create this long exposure photo.

The charming, romantic and warm colors of this urban scene is one perfect example of how the artificial town lighting changes the natural night light in the city.

day 205: flowers of the world

it's a bit difficult to tell, what with the pink spotlights, but these are silver roses and succulents. the shop is flowers of the world, a florist a few blocks from my office (and just around the corner from my first new york office). i used to visit it on my lunch break, all audrey hepburn-like, and drool over the arrangements. when joe and i got (technically) married at city hall, my mom and i stopped at FOTW on the way downtown and had them make me a little bouquet for the ceremony.

Victorian Hydrangea & Rose Silk Floral Arrangement

Victorian Hydrangea & Rose Silk Floral Arrangement

This gorgeous arrangement will add instant beauty and life to any decor. It is comprised of five large, luscious blue hydrangeas, four burnt orange colored roses, two life-like peonies, boston ferns, and matching decorative grass. The blue marbled Victorian inspired vase accents this floral piece perfectly. It measures 22"(L) by 28"(W) by 24"(H), and would serve as a wonderful accent piece for any room in your home or office. I personally hand crafted the arrangement using high-end, quality, silk flowers and materials.

"Little bread-and-butterflies kiss the tulips
And the sun is like a toy balloon
There are get-up-in-the-morning glories
In the golden afternoon.
There are dizzy daffodils on the hillside
Strings of violets are all in tune
Tiger lilies love the dandelions
In the golden afternoon.
There are dogs and caterpillars and a copper centipede
Where the lazy daisies love the very peaceful life
They lead...
You can learn a lot of things from the flowers
For especially in the month of June
There's a wealth of happiness and romance
All in the golden afternoon"

Yes, I too am eagerly awaiting Mr Burton's rendition of Alice In The Wonderland. And in anticipation, I find myself being incredibly inspired by that exotic and very beautiful (if somewhat catty) garden of singing flowers upon which Alice stumbled as she traversed across Wonderland in pursuit of the White Rabbit.

In researching flowers, I discovered that there is an actual language of flowers called Floriography. A means of communication used primarily during the Victorian period in which various flowers and floral arrangements were used to send coded messages, this allowed individuals to express feelings which otherwise could not be spoken. It was most commonly communicated through Tussie-Mussies (nosegays), an art which has a following today.

Then there's the Turkish "Salem", or language of objects, developed to communicate any message without the need to write as well as Hanakotoba, an independent Japanese flower language.

Fascinating. Fascinating. Fascinating.

My signature Circlets form the basis for In The Garden Of Singing Flowers and this time, they come bedecked with Orange Sapphires as well as Peridots with dimensional centres of Colombian Emeralds. Dainty wreaths of Pink and (more) Orange Sapphires crown their tops in a most darling fashion. Luscious cascades of Spessartines trickle downwards, made additionally beguiling with the inclusion of dreamy Peruvian Rhodocrosite, Kenyan Pink Rubies and wee sprinklings of Colombian Emeralds.

Out-of-this-world Pink Topaz Chandelier Briolettes pull everything together beautifully!!! Combined with chains that shimmy and sway, these eye-popping beauties weigh a total of 38 Carats. Divine.

In The Garden Of Singing Flowers drops a genteel 2.25" and is very comfy indeed. All components used are 14K Gold Filled whilst those fantabulous Art Deco Ear Posts are 24K Gold Vermeil.

The SIGNATURE BIJOUX line is every narcissist's fantasy of Unapologetically Flamboyant Designs in Rich, Opulent Colours.

A showcase of artistry, this is where Decadent Drama cavorts shamelessly with Premium Gemstones, Meticulous Wirework and Fine Finishing to fashion Couture Heirlooms, to delight fashionistas and sartorialists alike.

It is one of the most popular and desirable orchids in the world because of the beautiful flowers. These plants make great houseplants, and are also popular in floral arrangements and corsages. They have been cultivated for thousands of years, especially in China. Cymbidiums became popular in Europe during the Victorian era. One feature that makes the plant so popular is the fact that it can survive during cold temperatures (as low as 7? C or 45? F). Orchid hobbyists in temperate climates appreciate the fact that they can bloom in winter, when few other orchids are blooming.

Only a few Cymbidium species are commonly grown in nurseries, due to the popularity of hybrids. Most are to be found in botanical gardens or in their ever shrinking natural habitat. One of such hybrids was Named "Happy Barry Sailor Moon" after the popular Anime and manga. It is named so because its color is identical to the hair color of the title character. [1
